Preserving Heritage
Preserving Heritage: Orthodox Archdiocese of Beirut (Ongoing)
The historical Beirut Greek Orthodox Archdiocese building, located on the Orthodox Archdiocese Street in the Saint Nicolas neighborhood, was built in 1860 and is one of Beirut's prominent heritage landmarks. Severely damaged due to its proximity to the Beirut port explosion (less than 750 meters), the organization has been actively leading fundraising and coordinating its rehabilitation.
Through ongoing donor reporting, stakeholder collaboration, and on-site follow-up, the project continues to ensure the careful preservation and restoration of the building's historical, cultural, and Orthodox significance.
Sincere appreciation is also extended to Mr. Rodolphe Saadé and his family for their generous contribution and valued support toward this rehabilitation initiative.
